AltIndexer Calculation Logic
How AltIndexer measures the altcoin market regime
AltIndexer is a forward-looking market-regime index calculated from the current signal-zone structure of supported altcoins. Instead of relying only on past 90-day price performance, it evaluates how many assets are currently positioned in model-defined buy or sell zones.
Daily signal-zone scan
Each day, supported altcoins are classified according to their current model signal condition: buy zone, neutral/hold zone, or sell zone.
Buy-zone versus sell-zone balance
The index reflects the balance between altcoins showing stronger positive signal conditions and altcoins showing weaker or defensive signal conditions.
Normalized market-regime score
The final AltIndexer value is shown on a normalized scale. Positive values indicate a stronger altcoin regime, while negative values indicate a weaker or defensive regime.
Forward-looking interpretation
Because the calculation is based on current signal-zone conditions, AltIndexer is designed to describe the present market setup rather than only summarize past performance.
